Christmas on Main in Escalon

I love the holidays in our little community. There is just somthing about a small town coming together. I was given the oppertunity to take pictures for the Ecalon Chamber of Commerce by an AMAZING friend. She has the spirit of Escalon. This is the second project i have done for her and have had nothing but a blast doing these.
In Main Street Park, a park on Main st. in Escalon, the community came together to celebrate with a parade and the welcoming of Santa Clause to our twon. It was great there was a a group of students from Byrds Main Street Music that entertained the croud along with LilLana Cajias.
The Chamber did a great job putting this together for the town. My hats off to them. Here are some of my favorite pictures I took during the event.

There were firepits and fixings for smores. It was great.

There was a hot rod shoping cart.
The fire department delivered Santa.

With the end of the evening the street turns quiet.

I feel horrible. I haven't put any thing on here in quite a while. Let me just say, work is going great, I have an amazing wife that puts up with me unbelieveably well. We recently had Thnaksgiving at Sierra's, Granny and Poppy came down with Benny and Maria. Uncle marvin came up with Betty. Shasta and Chris and Max came over from the coast. Sean and Tracy came along with Aunt Pat and Uncle Doc. Aunt Sissy came over and so did Susie and Niolaus. Mack and Serena and Emily came up from Modesto. Shelly and Jason were there in Spirit even though they were in Kansas. Joei and Phil brought all the little ones. It was an amazing time. Granny loved relaxing with her greatgrand babies.

High Sierra's

With the recent passing of the latest fall storm the high Sierra's got some snow. While Katie and her parents waited at the cabin in Strawberry I told them I was going up the hill to get some photos. Of course I should have been a little smarter about it and told them where i was going when to expect me back and such but that would be to smart. Oh yeah I probably should have brought my wallet but it stayed at the cabin.
The photo above is of the Dardanelle cones

I believe this is Relief peak

Coffee was needed.

An awesome spot for a photo opportunity.

Amazing friends and amazing family.

I have recently been given the PRIVILEGE to shoot at a friends wedding. I get a lot of the " you pictures are so amazing" and "you did such a wonderful job". You have to realize if it wasn't for my friends and family who give me this great opportunity to take pictures of them at there home and places they love I would not have such great photos to share with the world. I cant express my gratitude in words how much I appreciate the support you have given me in this new endeavor I am loving, so if you compliment one of my photos and I don't say thank you its because I am so amazed people like my photographic take on things. Thank you again to all my friends that are my family whether you realize it or not.

A mini road trip

We were invited to go on a little mini road trip with Derk and Angie to the beach Saturday. We drove to Santa Cruz and were headed to the mystery spot. When we got there they told us it was at least a two hour wait. so we headed in to town to do some caching. We had Woodstocks pizza witch is awesome by the way. after that we headed to the beach and back home via San Jose. Here are some pictures of the days events.

Our day at the fair

I saw a lady in the pig barn with cupcakes and I had to take a picture of them.

For me there is some thing very awe inspiring about the majesty and beauty of these animals. Just gorgeous creatures.
I was given the opportunity to photograph the Miss Escalon Pageant. I had a Wonderful time. I got to chat with an old friend. That same friend told me you are a farmer not a photographer. I know but I still like to take pictures and think I have at least some skills. Well here are some of the pictures.

April 16, 2005 a day that lasts a life time.

The picture above is when she realized we were not there to celebrate my birthday and figured out everyone else was in on the surprise.

These pictures are a little on the older side. The are from when I proposed way back on April 16, 2005.
